Bill Wade – Director of Operations, Project Services

Educated in mathematics and computer science, Bill has been working with computer technology since 1973 on an IBM model 1130. After college, he worked for 19 years in civil engineering as a Certified Photogrammetrist. During this time, he wrote software, created digital mapping technologies by integrating off the shelf hardware/software with custom software, and managed digital map production for two companies.

In 1996, Bill achieved his Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MSCE) credential and started his own business doing Microsoft server implementation and troubleshooting. In 1997, after a successful year in business, he met Greg Aker and decided to work with Greg in a more established technology company. While working for Greg, Bill grew the team of network engineers from two members to eight team members. Focusing on small businesses, Bill transformed customer networks using Windows Small Business Server as the key technology. He developed the first customer support contract and prototyped it into a saleable product. He also implemented and managed the company’s first helpdesk.

In 2004, Bill was instrumental in realizing Greg’s vision for project implementation by working with Fred to create predictable budgets and reliable technology for their customers.
