“Well Worth the Time Spent!”

This past October 27, Carolinas Net Care held its semi-annual briefing, inviting clients in for coffee, pastries and several sessions on trending IT topics followed by a boxed lunch. One attendee was Tommy Lawing of T.R. Lawing Realty, Inc., a long-time CNC client who has never missed a briefing.

“I find the briefings very beneficial, and an efficient way to stay up to date on emerging issues in the technology world. I want to know what the next innovation is that could be useful in my operation,” he says.

Tommy first became a client when he was looking for a Certified Microsoft Engineer after self-hosting and maintaining the company’s extensive office network for twenty-three years. He had met CNC President Greg Aker on another mutual project.

“I had people on staff who were capable, but we needed someone to say we were doing it right—who we could call when something went wrong. Maintaining a business class network had become imperative to our success.”

Now Carolinas Net Care monitors the T.R. Lawing Realty system 24/7, helps them set company policies that pertain to technology, takes care of updates to equipment and software updates and upgrades, and most importantly, maintains network security.

And after the fall briefing session, Tommy is also thinking about the importance of back-up and recovery after listening to Max Haithcox speak on innovations and concerns in that area. As a matter of fact, he’s asked Carolinas Net Care to conduct a company audit to make sure all is in order to that end.

“I always come back from the briefing with two or three applications for our situation. A few years ago, we changed our mobile device management after information received at a briefing. After this fall’s briefing, I also plan to implement usage of the Foxit Reader more extensively. I think the briefing are scaled appropriately for small to medium-sized companies, for attendees who are decision makers but maybe not technology experts.”

While the T.R. Lawing Realty decision makers regularly receive solicitation emails from other IT companies, Tommy says CNC has more than earned his loyalty.

“Other IT consultants seem to be missing one or more of the strengths CNC brings to our business. The suite of services offered by their competitors does not seem as extensive, often without the expertise in PC’s, printers and mobile devices. And, none of them offer the briefings, which I plan to continue attending. It’s well worth the time spent.”

Our next client briefing is Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the offices of Carolinas Net Care. Mark your calendar now to attend!
